Installing Rockwell Theme

1. Unzip the file that you have downloaded, you will find a folder called "rockwell".

2. To install the theme you should have already wordpress installed and running on your server. Using FTP, upload the "rockwell" theme folder to your web server, and place it in "/WP-contents/themes/". So what you'll have in the end is "wp-contents/themes/rockwell/".

3. Now that you have the theme uploaded you just need to login to your WP admin panel and activate it "Appearance > Themes".

Theme Setting Up

Rockwell theme displays all categories and their subcategories as drop down menus ( using JQuery Superfish ) on the main menu and all the pages on the very top menu.

Installing Plugins

This theme uses 2 plugins, FlickrRSS and Ad-minister which you can find in the downloaded .zip file, folder "plugins". You need to upload these folder on your server to "wp-content/plugins/" and activate it from the admin panel.

1. FlickrRSS ( http://eightface.com/wordpress/flickrrss/ ) - allows you to display Flickr photos on your weblog. It supports user, set, favorite, group and community photostreams, and is relatively easy to setup and configure via a settings panel. All you need is to set up the number of photos you want to display, the source type and user id, in case you choose user as source.No need to change any other parameter.

2. Ad-minister ( http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ad-minister/ ) - adds a easy to use WordPress management system for adverts and other static content. Once you have this plugin activated you need to go to its settings panel ( Tools > Ad-minister) and set up a "Position" called "Sidebar". Then add the content to be displayed on theme sidebar.

Theme Options Page

This themes comes with a custom options page ( Appearance > Rockwell Options) where you will find:

1. Theme Color Scheme - You can choose from 3 different color schemes for you site, pink, blue and orange.

2. Set up your site logo - You can use a text as logo or you can enter the full path to an image logo. Please notice that in case you choose to use an image for the logo you must leave the "Logo text" field empty.

3. Set up the site top tagline - Enter your tagline to be displayed next to the logo. You will also see a field for "Tagline Box Width" which will allow you to adjust the tagline container size.

4. Add Twitter icon with link to your account - Just enter your Twitter account link and the icon will be available. Leave it empty and the icon wont appear.

5. Add Facebook icon with link to your account - Just enter your Facebook profile link and the icon will be available. Leave it empty and the icon wont appear.

6. Enable/ Disable displaying Ads and Flickr photostream

7. Choose the "Advertise here" page - to be linked under the ads

8. Edit/Enable/Disable the "About" sidebar box - Add the title and the content of the "About" box. Leave the title empty if you dont want the box to appear.

9. Add Google Analytics code - Simply fill in the filed for Analytics code and save.

Contact Page

When you create the Contact page, you will need to set the "Contact" template for it ( right side Attributes panel ), in order to have the contact page as in preview and have it Ajax functional.

Lightbox

For adding Lightbox behaviour to a link just add class="lightbox" to the link tag.
