1. Unzip the file that you have downloaded, you will find a folder called "colorbold".
2. To install the theme you should have already wordpress installed and running on your server. Using FTP, upload the "colorbold" theme folder to your web server, and place it in "/WP-contents/themes/". So what you'll have in the end is "wp-contents/themes/colorbold/".
3. Now that you have the theme uploaded you just need to login to your WP admin panel and activate it "Appearance > Themes".
Colorbold theme displays all categories and their subcategories as drop down menus ( using JQuery Superfish ) on the main menu and all the pages on the top right menu.
This theme uses 2 plugins, FlickrRSS and Ad-minister which you can find in the downloaded .zip file, folder "plugins". You need to upload these folder on your server to "wp-content/plugins/" and activate it from the admin panel.
1. FlickrRSS ( http://eightface.com/wordpress/flickrrss/ ) - allows you to display Flickr photos on your weblog. It supports user, set, favorite, group and community photostreams, and is relatively easy to setup and configure via a settings panel. All you need is to set up the number of photos you want to display, the source type and user id, in case you choose user as source. No need to change any other parameter.
2. Ad-minister ( http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ad-minister/ ) - adds a easy to use WordPress management system for adverts and other static content. Once you have this plugin activated you need to go to its settings panel ( Tools > Ad-minister) and set up a "Position" called "Sidebar". Then add the content to be displayed on theme sidebar.
This themes comes with a custom options page ( Appearance > Colobold Options) where you can:
1. Setup your logo - You need to enter the full path to your logo file and the logo image ALT text. For better visual results we recommand to use a PNG transaparent logo.
2. Add Twitter "Follow" box - Just setup your twitter link and, if you want, some small text . The box will not appear in the sidebar if you leave the link field empty.
3. Enable/ Disable displaying Ads and Flickr photostream
4. Add Google Analytics code - Simply fill in the filed for Analytics code, no need to touch any page source.
5. Email Address for Contact Form - As the theme comes with a working Ajax contact form you need to specify your address in order to get the messages on your email.
When you create the Contact page, you will need to set the "Contact" template for it ( right side Attributes panel ), in order to have the contact page as in preview and have it Ajax functional.
For adding Lightbox behaviour to a link just add class="lightbox" to the link tag.
